CASE STUDY: Mom Blogger Blitz

The Background

The Nantucket Hotel and Winnetu Oceanside Resort are sister properties located on the sister islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard in beautiful coastal New England. The hotels are particularly beloved by families, thanks in part to their award-winning family programming and amenities.

The Objective

The two hotels wished to generate visibility in front of young families in their key New England markets, timed to sync with the end of the school year.

The Approach

Create awareness for the hotel’s family amenities by scheduling a blitz of media stays for mom-influencers and bloggers from key markets in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. Twelve social influencer media stays were scheduled across a two week period in June. These mom-influencers enjoyed a host of family friendly activities, from beach picnics to sunset s’mores throughout their stay, providing plenty of picture-perfect moments for their blogs and social media accounts.

The Results

The coverage window generated from the media stays spanned a four week period through the month of June, resulting in a spike of marketing visibility for the two hotels at a key time in their summer sales cycle. The photo/video content the mom-influencers posted on social media brought the hotels vividly to life and the written content on their blogs provided valuable SEO backlinks.
